March 1878 Customs Newchwang combination cover – sent shortly before the Large Dragon was issued. Newchwang, the port of Yinkou, was the main port of Manchuria, right next to Port Arthur conceded to Russia in 1898, then to Japan after the Russo-Japanese War in 1904-05.
