光緒十八年（1892）十二月十六日，宜蘭鹽務總館發出的公文封套，蓋“宜蘭總館委員鈐記”三方，從宜蘭到淡水，致“總辦全台電報總局候補縣正堂林”，走東西郵路，共經6站，二十日到，沿途各驛站均有記錄到達時刻並鈐用條戳或印記。
