1865 Yokohama (27 May) to Shanghai. Outer wrapper, f.w. Hong Kong QV 2x 4c, tied by extremely scarce Sunburst cancel in blue. On the flap with Shanghae BPO (2 Jun) arrival cds in blue. Sunburst is one of the rarest cancellations of the British PO in China. Webb recorded 4 examples of the ‘Sunburst’ on cover, this being the third earliest used. Provenance: Burghard, Ishikawa. 1865.5.27 橫濱寄上海。郵簡封套，貼香港維多利亞女皇像2x 4分，銷少見難得之上海英局太陽紋藍色戳記，背面另鈐6.2上海英局紫色日戳。太陽紋戳為英國客郵局之一大珍罕郵戳，韋伯氏記錄只有四件存世。流傳有序。
